Do You Want To Approve Light or Heavy Vehicle Modifications?
The Aim of this Course
The aim of this course is to familiarise all participants with the duties and responsibilities of an Approved Person with respect to the relevant Codes of Practice for modification certification and to adopt a common understanding of the interpretation and application of the Code. It is not intended to cover technical aspects of light or heavy vehicle modifications, as such, but more the administrative requirement of an Approved Person to carry out the certification of vehicle modifications.
Requirements
Queensland Transport require all applicants for certification of modified vehicles to have previously attended this course. All potential students need to be aware that in almost all instances there is a 10 year trade experience criteria for applicants to become an Approved Person.
Purchase of the Code of Practice

Light Vehicle Students: For students requiring approval for certification of Light Vehicles – a Code of Practice – Light Vehicle must be purchased from Go-Print. (Qld Transport will want to see a copy of your receipt of purchase).

Heavy Vehicle Students: The Code of Practice for the Heavy Vehicle students is freely available on the internet and therefore there is no requirement to purchase.

At the completion of this course, participants will be able to demonstrate their knowledge of:

Qualifications, experience and equipment required by the Code.

Applying for approval to certify modified vehicles.

Administrative requirements for certification procedures.

Identifying ADR, OEM & Code requirements as they apply to certification.

Cancellation/Refund Policy
Fees for all courses are payable in advance. If you are unable to participate, a substitute delegate is always welcome. Fees for distance learning courses are non-refundable after course material has been despatched.
