Under the Property Agents and Motor Dealers Act 2000, all motor dealers (individual and corporate) must be licensed to work in Queensland and all motor salespeople must hold a registration certificate to work as an employee.
All licensed motor dealers must comply with the Act, which ensures that car buyers are protected.
The Office of Fair Trading requirements for Motor Dealer applicants:
Successfully completed, or been assessed as competent in, modules from the Automotive Industry Retail, Service and Repair Training Package.
